Steve Taylor: Writer & Researcher

Elephant magazine commissioned me to write about the Venezuelan modernist Jesús Rafael Soto, who was famously startled by the light he encountered on landing in Europe having only experienced it previously in reproductions of Impressionist works.

For Elephant magazine I wrote about Nicolas Schöffer, the Hungarian-French sculptor who is regarded as the founder of cybernetic art. Schöffer’s work ranged from experiments with interactive robotic sculptures to Bardot-era St. Tropez nightclub interiors.
